The room was a good size, although there were two queen beds where I was the only person staying, so that was slightly unnecessary. Location was great.

Moose Hotel and Suites, hotel in Banff

Located a 1 minute walk from the heart of Banff, the Moose Hotel & Suites features a spa centre and on-site bar. Each unit offers a patio or balcony. Every air-conditioned room has a flat-screen TV.

The location is excellent and walkable to many restaurants and bars as it is on Banff Ave and on the Roam route. The staff was top notch - received complimentary Roam bus tickets (for town routes) and bear deterrent (loaned and not charged unless you engage with a bear and have to use it!). There were 2 hot tubs roof top outside that were spacious with beautiful vistas of the mountains. One pool was inside that we did not use. Towels were plentiful and there was complementary cold water available. Sauna was relaxing. The hotel is connected to a fabulous restaurant/bar with outdoor seating - try the fried olives!. The staff just was excellent plus +++ - any questions and any needs (we asked for blankets one night) right on top of it and always with very pleasant interactions. We had a wonderful room first floor that was quiet and with a private small outdoor patio. Lobby fireplace was nice to sit next to in the evening after a day of long hikes - staff loaded logs on a regular schedule so it was always toasty and warm. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Banff!!!

I visited both Banff and Whistler on the same trip.

I visited both Banff and Whistler on the same trip. Banff was far superior - there were hundreds of independent restaurants and shops in a realistic-looking German-style town…completely unique and amazing views. Whistler has more flowers/vegetation, but was like a cookie-cutter visit to Disney with insane traffic and brand-name only stores you could find in any mall. Every building also looked the same and the crowd was predictably snobby.

Brand new mother daughter ski duo had amazing success with SkiBig3 Banff Adventure Hub gear rental and private ski instructor. Skied 3 days. Also enjoyed dogsledding in Canmore! Totally exceeded our expectations! Shops were variety of price points and restaurants offered a variety of options. Every turn of your drive was breathtaking! My teen stayed off of social media and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery during our drives! Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly in this town!

It is an absolutely charming town nestled in a most beautiful natural environment. The people were all very warm, kind, and helpful, although interestingly, they all (but one person I met) seemed to be from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia. But the accents were great, and so were the people. Next vacation... Australia! Back to Banff... a great getaway whether for skiing in the winter or simply unwinding, reflecting, and pondering the next steps, or getting your dream girl to say "yes" to the ring.

Banff and the surroundings are very picturesque and the towering Rockies add to the grandeur of the place. The ride in the Gondolas and the walk in the snow at the top is something no visitor must miss. Lake Minnewanka in all it's frozen splendour with the cabins in it's midst is spectacular when the sun comes up. Lake Louise - a few Kms away - is also something to behold. All in all a fabulous place to spend a few days.

We loved our stay at Banff Aspen Lodge (as part of our Honeymoon in April). The complimentary breakfast was great value, we always had a variety of foods to keep us full while skiing (rotating oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal). The location is excellent - easy walking distance to all the restaurants in downtown. April is definitely the time to visit in terms of value for money - there was ample free parking available at the hotel. We loved having a proper barista made coffee at White Bark every day. Spacious shower and double sink.

After we arrived at Lake Louise, I found out that my wallet was lost. It was two days after I stayed at this hotel, but when I called to the front desk of this hotel, they said they had saved my wallet. They told me i can pick it up anytime. After we drove back to Banff from Lake Louise, I went to find my wallet and i didn’t lost anything from my wallet, Thank you very much for this hotel. I will check in again if I have a chance next time.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Even before we departed the United States, the hotel 'concierge' swiftly and successfully booked Banff gondola tickets through Pursuit and bus transfers from/to Calgary and between Banff and Lake Louise with Brewster Express! Although the Royal Canadian Lodge was one of the hotels located furthest away from town, it was a relatively short walk there, and the shuttle stop was steps from the front door.

The hotel was beautiful, our room was clean and we loved the style of the room. We walked 10 minutes to the heart of downtown Banff - a stroll that was nice because we did a lot of travelling in our car during our vacation. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in answering our questions and giving suggestions on where to eat, the bus route to Sulphur Mountain/Gondola. The complimentary bikes was a nice touch

Outdoor pool was amazing and had a bar! Restaurants we’re fab as were the staff! Great hotel on Banff's main street. The room was large, well appointed, and the daily room service was excellent. Staff overall friendly and helpful. Banff is not the chapest place to stay, I thought this was excellent value for money. You are only a short distance from the Bow River and the Fenland Trail, both are lovely short walks. Location was excellent and we loved the free, heated, underground parking. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go in Banff, such as for dinner. Hotel breakfast (included) was good, too. We went Nordic skiing and used the hotel's wax room at the end of each day. This year the snow was not good around Banff, so we drove to the Lake Louise area every day. The drive was not too far.

The cabins were cozy small but enough room to do everything you needed. Heating them was east, a little too easy, in the well-above freezing temps. These would be great in dead of winter. And the locations was so convenient to Banff and Lake Louise just 30 minutes away in either direction.
